This was the first engine that ‘ran’ and it ran very well. Two other manufacturers engines had been used (because they were cheaper) and many hours had been wasted trying to get them to run reliably!
The OS 32 SX-H’s had been installed in all of the 30 class helicopters we owned. That included the Kyosho Concept 30 SRT, SRX, Concept 32VR and the Nexus. Up until recently the Raptor 30 had the 32 installed in it. This has recently been replaced by an OS 37.
The OS 32 has been faultless in our experience, no it is not the cheapest on the market but it is the most reliable day in, day out!
A quick tweek of the needle to compensate for atmospheric conditions but that was it!
The only time we have had one cut out was when it ran out of fuel.
All of these engines are now on to second owners with only the bearings replaced. Not bad for engines that are getting on for nearly ten years old!!!!!!
