The Chandelle

Is a very underrated manoeuvre. It is ideal for gaining speed if you have an underpowered model.....It is also a very graceful manoeuvre.

The Stall Turn

The stall turn is very similar to the chandelle, You first attempts should be on a reasonably calm day as you don’t really want to be fighting with the wind on your first attempts. If it is windy then as you fly into the wind and pull up it will require a bit of negative pitch in the vertical section to compensate and stop the heli being pushed towards you. If you do the manoeuvre downwind the it will require positive pitch in the vertical section to stop the heli being blown away from you. An idle up setting maybe used for this

What can go wrong?......Too much back stick can end up with an inverted heli!!!!

The Loop

For the first time your helicopter is going to be inverted so you will have to set an idle up and have some negative pitch. YOU MUST NOT ATTEMPT this manoeuvre without having set the throttle curve for inverted flight!

What can go wrong?......If you don’t keep the back stick fed in then the heli could stop on top of the loop.
