How well a helicopter is set up dictates how well it will fly! A badly set up helicopter will be harder and not much fun to fly.
We are going to look at the two key parts of a set up. The mechanical set up and the electronic set up.
The mechanical set up consists of setting rod lengths and making sure all the control surfaces move freely and smoothly, paddles are aligned etc.
The electronic set up consists of servo throws , pitch and throttle curves and general fine tuning.
