Of all the 60 class engines we have used the 61 SXH is the smoothest and most reliable of them all. The SXH WC has the 3 needle carb that gives you even more adjustment to the mixture settings. OS also made a 2 needle version of the engine (OS 61 LXH). Both these engines have been superceded by the OS 71 SZH.

The WC has been run in an X-cell 60 se and is currently installed in a Raptor 60 V2.

The WC does tend to favour the higher nitro fuels combined with a muffler. Both the X-cell and the Raptor have used the Zimmerman muffler.

Once you get you head around being able to adjust the mid range as well as the low and high ends of fuelling then things start to make sense. The current OS 71 has the 3 needle carb as well.

60 class is not as popular as it used to be as the trend of today seems to be 50/90 class heli’s and no longer the 30/60 classes.

Saying that there are still plenty of 60’s out there and if you were to buy a 60 with this power plant installed you would be onto a good start (provided the engine had been maintained over the years).
